well there are 24 photographs! and taken on an SLR camera!
the competition is like this:
you get there at 8am, all you need to take is and SLR camera, you then are given a roll of film, a bag, a pen and the 1st 2 or 3 themes you are to take. you must take 3 photographs of every theme you are given.
around 3 hours later you have to meet at next meeting point and have your "photographic passport" stamped and are given the next 2 or 3 themes, and so on.
there are 8 themes in total, so u must take at the end 24 photographs, (3 photos for each theme) if you have taken four or 2 of a theme by accident you will be disqualified (unfortunatly this is what happened to my mum, not realising she missed a photo and then couldnt go back
)
you must give in your roll at 8pm. and then just wait til late june!
if you go to http://www.barlavento.online.pt/index.p ... a?id=15997
you will find an article written the day before the results came out (29th of june). in the current edition of the barlavento you will find some of the photographs taken by the winners and a small article about each person.
in the next issue of the barlavento you will no doubt see the photographs of winners receiving their prizes (im not looking forward to seeing myself in the paper xD i was too nervous!)

http://www.barlavento.online.pt/
on the right column, under "multimedia" click on the 1st title (resultados ... ) and then "ver galeria".
hope this encourages more non-portuguese to participate next year.
free breakfast and supper, a great day out.
