Tourist Licence Costs
I’ve just been quoted a minimum of Euros2,000, including IVA, to get a property licenced. Does anyone out there have any comparative figures?
Thanks,
Pete

Apart from all the paperwork that the solicitor charges for which comprises of god knows what! 200euros is for an inspection by an Architect to make sure the property conforms to the original plans and that is passes a fire and safety test. He will make recommendations on what measures are needed if any. The main pain, is that we have to apply(again) for power of attorney for our solicitor so she can action things in our absence. I don't get the impression that any of this will happen anytime soon.

Don't know if any of you are following the items in the Fiscal section of The Resident (click "news" at top of this page, then "in English" then "The Resident" and click Fiscal Matters when you get to the page.
If you are quick, here's a link to the item of 25th May which may be relevant to some - it certainly is to us, as we don't use an agency and it looks like there could be some pretty liberal interpretation......

sorry if it's gone by the time you get there but the page will change weekly - the article I'm referring to is headed "Licensing requirements for holiday lets Nº5" - it's been a weekly feature lately. If any of you miss it and want a copy I have kept it as a Word document - PM me with your email address and I'll send it.

Hi Sorry....I should have been more specific rather than just being nosey.... LOl
Some friends of ours are thinking of letting some rooms in their house like a B&B to holiday makers...they seem a little unsure of how the law will affect them and if they could put up a small sign.
We have had numerous discussions so I was intrigued whne I saw this thread
