Ferragudo

Post by trekker »

Good Day All:
It snowed here for two days and I am in my daydream world of the Algarve. Two sisters and brother in law are staying near Ferragudo for two months and I am stuck at home using the snow blower at 6 am just so I can get out to work.

Looking at the Live Cam at
http://www.vivendamiranda.com/webcam/webcam-de.htm

has kept me sane.

Can anyone tell me about the new water taxi from Ferragudo to Portimao? Does it run this time of year?

At best this time of year the Water Taxi will be an 'on-demand' service if it's running. Best way to find out will be to ring the Sueste Restaurant. Telephone number should be in the FAQs.

You can get the water taxi at the front of Ferragudo harbour outside Sueste Restaurant. They will take you over to the marina or near the bridge. You either arrange to meet them at the drop pff point for your return journey or call them when you are ready and they will collect. Cost last year was €5.00 return.

Brilliant service and saves driving through the centre of Portimao which is a nightmare.

Thanks largermeister! You are sure right about the horrible traffic. And I wasn't even the one driving.

Will give it a try next time I am there.
