Ele and Ela

Post by PHOENIX »

Been going to CVO for 7 yrs , and have recently purchased our own place there.
Must say , have always been very impressed with the food, and the value, at Ele and Ela. ate there only last week - new menu just as good !!

Was there in Nov with 3 friends golfing - their first visit - and they insisted on eating at Ele and Ela 3 nights out of 7 - and I did'nt bring them there until the 3rd night !

looking forward to my next trip in late May !

From a dreary and extremely damp Dublin

This is the best restaurant in Carvoeiro!

We went twice when we were there (16 to 30 June 2005) - WOW.

The bannana pudding is orgasmic!

As is the duck starter.

As is the rack of lamb!!

Brilliant - lovely people too.

Just returned from 2 weeks in CVO, and still rate Ele & Ela's the best we have tried in the village. We now rate it over L'Orange.

 If you take the 'out' road from the square, the one next to Smilers bar, it is about 500 yards or so up there on the right hand side.

After Gary and I reading all the rave reviews on this restaurant all I can say is WOW did it live up to all expectations? YES! the food was wonderful, service friendly. We have just come back from spending 2 great weeks at our apartment and the restaurant was just below us all along. so for almost the past year we've missed a perfectly good experience.

We came back from CVO a couple of weeks ago. We tried most of the restaurants recommended on this forum, but Ele and Ela is the place we went back to for our final night. The only place we tried twice. On reflection, I wish we had been there even more. It is as good as anywhere I have tried in the UK. Wonderful food without being up itself. Don't miss it.

Back from another CVO visit and we still rate this restaurant very highly. We had to book, and they were turning people away when we were there. Even though busy, the staff remain very attentive. Just hope they change the menu soon since we are eating our way through it!

Someone posted recently that they were reopening in February with a new menu. Has anyone been, and what is the new menu? I presume it is the same staff etc.
