one night accomodation

Can anybody help me with a one night accomodation for 5 persons from 8-9 July.
We'll only arrive around 1 in the morning and can enter our booked accommodation at 8 o'clock.
It can be in or around Carvoeiro or even on the way from Lisbon to Carvoeiro.
We need something simple to just close our eyes for a few hours.

If you are going to travel from Lisbon to Carvoeiro by car, I would strongly recommend you stay in Lisbon for the night and take on the remaining 280kms in the morning. There are a few hotels in the vicinity of Lisbon airport, but as you will probably have a car, you are better off heading into town.

There are numerous internet hotel guides that can aid you in finding and booking accomodation in Lisbon.

Have alook at the ibis site (these are good for an overnight stop as they charge by the room not per person) on http://www.ibishotel.com they have a hotel at Setubal which is on the A2 (Rua do Sol) about 40 K from the airport at Lisboa.

I agree with G best to stop near Lisboa and take a leisurely drive next day.

Make sure not to cross the 25 de Abril Bridge over Tagus River after 17:30h (from Lisbon to the South) on a weekday or you may be in a 2 hour trafic jam. You will be OK if you use the Vasco da Gama bridge, although you may get some traffic just before the bridge in the evenings
