Yep - Sorry it is WEATHER
Yep - Sorry it is WEATHER
Hi
I know this is a subject that must bore all of you but we are thinking of coming for an early holiday aroung 14 April this year. It is one of the few months we have not been staying in Carvoeiro, but just wondered if weather is settled and obviously sunny and warm> Any advice would be appreciated about temperatures. Thanks so much we are trying to get our last fix of the Tovoli befoe it closes in September 2015.
Happy Days

Hi,
Well we have just returned on Sunday after spending a week at The Tivoli in Carvoeiro.
I have been to Carvoeiro in April in the past - and had good weather for most of the time, but did have an odd day of rain. I think it is pot luck.
We were lucky last week - the weather was fabulous for 7 days! We had about 30minutes of cloud in all that time.
It was hot during the day - and we are certainly well tanned. The evenings were a wee bit chilly, but I only needed a cardigan - never had a jacket on.
Mind you - although I was on the beach every day, and it was quite busy - I only saw two people scuba diving with wet suits actually swimmimg all week. Plenty of us were paddling however!
What is happening to the Tivoli?? Although the village of Carvoeiero was quite quiet last week, the Tivoli was busy. In fact on Saturday afternoon when I drove back in to the car park - there was hardly a parking space to be had!

Re: Yep - Sorry it is WEATHER
We spent most of April last year in Carvoeiro and it was generally very good weather, towards the end of the month in particular.
We are flying out 1st April for three weeks so hopefully the weather will be good again.
It can be hit and miss but we find it is more often than not good weather and we love the place so are happy to risk the odd shower!
VaIN, I believe the Tivoli is rumoured to be closing for renovation in September this year. It was purchased by a large company earlier this year.

I believe Tivoli will continue to be open after September 2015. Carvoeiro's Tivoli was one of the location sold to a Thai group. They bough Lisbon, Vilamoura, Portimão and Carvoeiro' Tivoli Hotels, plus 2 in Brazil.

Hi All
We have decided to come in September as have been before and weather was fab. Hopefully the Tivoli will not be on a wind down too much, I believe that is it closing and not sure when it is opening. We usually stay once a year, and use villas the other times. But I do hope it opens again but is not too expensive as it has always been good value for money.
Thanks everyone for bothering to reply to a boring question.
September just seems so long to wait.....

We had a great 2 weeks bright sun every day although chilly when it went down in the evening - even lit the woodburner one night! Managed a brief dip in our pool as the solar heaters had got it up to 26C. Never saw any rain until we left on Tues morning, when it was chucking it down - but that seemed to clear by 1pm when we left faro. Forecast doesn't look good for the next week or so and Easter could well be poor. We are back in May when it will be warm go to www.ipma.pt where you can check the PT weather. Put in Faro and Lagoa in the search boxes.
