Restaurant Italia - Ferragudo
Restaurant Italia - Ferragudo
Tried this last night and I think it will become a 'regular' of ours.
In the middle of the square, tables outside and inside, probably good in winter too.
Menu is usual Italian, with meat and fish choices as well, although it is one of the few places I have found here that do a Risotto, mine was with Porcini mushrooms and was lovely. The antipasto starter of garlic bread, salami, cheese, parma ham and several vegetables was really good and great value for four people for 5euros.
Three of us had pasta and the other Pork. Adapting any of the pasta dishes for a vegetarian wasn't a problem either. 4 glasses of wine and two beers brought the total for the meal to 65 euros (no puddings, we were good!) limonchello was freely offered.
Definitely worth trying.
ps. the bar that used to be the 3 monkeys (Jo's place) down the alley in the warehouse type place, had just re-opened and is portuguese owned, the menu of portuguese tapas looked nice and the ham's we saw looked interesting, all portugues products. Good indoor and outdoor seating. cosy lounge.
