Key Cutting
Key Cutting
Does anyone have any good ideas where I can get spare keys cut - of the two in Lagoa, one has a broken machine and the other cannot do the ones we need - suggestions gratefully received. Thanks. Graham

Re: Key Cutting
+1 for Intermarche. He cut some fairly complex keys for us. One was an ornate design and he managed to match it.
Re: Key Cutting
The key cutting place in Algarveshopping did an unusual one for us that the Intermarche guy couldn't do.
Re: Key Cutting
we had 4 keys cut there - E15 each - later found out i could have got a new lock with 6 spare keys for E50!Sandy wrote:The key cutting place in Algarveshopping did an unusual one for us that the Intermarche guy couldn't do.

Thanks all - but I think the Intermarche one has closed??
Re: Key Cutting
There is a locksmith's shop in Praça da Republica Portimão - the square halfway down the main shopping street. They can cut security keys etc. I can't remember the name but as there aren't many shops there you should be able to find it.

The Kiosk in the Intermarche has been moved to Lagoa, (near the Farmacia the owner informed me) I had the last pair of heels repaired there in early March and the gentleman in charge was packed and ready to move. I am not quite sure if the Kiosk will re-open.

Re: Key Cutting
Pato, are you not aware that Key Cutting and Shoe Repair always go "Hand in Hand".
The gentleman in question did a wonderful repair job on my shoes and I will certainly find him again in Lagoa when necessary, be it for shoes or keys.
Re: Key Cutting
We looked around 2 separate pharmacy shops but gave up. We come back soon so can someone give directions as to which pharmacy? We went into centro reaching a wider road for about 30mtrs and a bit further up was a pharmacy. Cannot recall the other one as one narrow road turned into another.
