November Newsletter
This made me laugh:
Child 1: "My teacher taught us in school that it is autumn now, so why do we still need to put on sun cream?"
Child 2: "My mum says the weather has gone crazy"
Child 1: "Ahh"
Another triumph. Keep up the good work.

Re: November Newsletter
Thanks again Margarida for your Autumn newsletter. We may venture to CVO for Christmas sometime again in the future as the boys are all gown up and have their own thing to do over Xmas these days. That leaves Gary and I so sneak over one year and enjoy just doing nothing but eating and drinking.
Well done and look forward to the Xmas news letter.

Re: November Newsletter
Another interesting slice of Carvoeiro life. Surprised Christmas time isn't more high profile over there though.
Keep 'em coming Margarida!

That's why we like it there. None of the hype and hassle you get at home.TomUK wrote:....Surprised Christmas time isn't more high profile over there though. . . .

Re: November Newsletter
Given that HMRC have filed a winding-up order against Hearts for unpaid tax et al, strong possibility the Hearts v St Mirren game on 17 November could be the last for the Jambos!!

Oh, forgot to add to my last post.........just a reminder that one of the teams partaking in the "minority sports" has just beaten probably the best team in the world in their Champions League fixture. My son-in-law is currently near CVO on holiday, we're sure we heard him cheering here in the West of Scotland when the final whistle went!!

Re: November Newsletter
Being run by a Scotsman, Hemmingways has to be your best bet to watch future teams to play in the Rangers League.
Have a nice time Smudger.

Considering you Scots ain't got a lot to be happy about these days I don't blame him.smudger wrote:Oh, forgot to add to my last post.........just a reminder that one of the teams partaking in the "minority sports" has just beaten probably the best team in the world in their Champions League fixture. Yip Pete-Flint. Been to hemingways several times. Reckon David and I crossed paths several times in the 80s as he managed bars in the West of Scotland that I (in an official capacity) visited!! Previous owner, Murray Clark, was at school with a couple of my former colleagues! Small world................but wouldn't like to paint it lol!
