Best mobile phone provider in Carvoeiro?

Hi,

We are moving to Carvoeiro at the end of the month and I will be looking to get a Portuguese mobile phone but could do with knowing which one offers the best coverage in Carvoeiro (Rocha Brava / Vale do Milho area specifically). Any help would be much appreciated.

We live in Vale Centiannes, just up the road from Rocha Brava, and we use Vodaphone without any problems.

There is a Vodaphone shop at algarve shopping or in Portimao, but the phone shop in Intermarche is very good, and they do Vodaphone pay-as-you-go top ups.

We have used vodaphone and TMN , no difference is service, currently on vodaphone PAYG.
Also use a vofaphone PAYG dongle for the laptop as a back up and for use on our travels in Portugal.

we have no problem with O2 at Rocha Brava very good reception

All of the providers are ok and the you can get dongle top ups at the phone shop and the paper shop in the front section of Intermarche. The connection speed for the standard pay-as-u-go dongles are ~2Mps and the price is ~€1/hr, so its hardly break the bank stuff. however at the moment the deals seem to be getting cheaper so shop around and buy the cheapest basically.

As regards the phone - you can bring your own from uk and then just buy the sim card usually around €9-10 and again they are all similar service.

If you want a mobile+broadband+TV there are some good packages around now. Check at the phone house
