Forno de Fraser

Post by widge »

Went for a takeaway pizza last night, Forno de Fraser adjacent to the Post Office claims " the best pizzas in Carvoeiro" they're not !

In fact the indigestion is still killing me 12 hours later. Bought in pizza base brushed with garlic oil appears to be the culprit.

For me, they are really good and they are really working hard. Good pizzas and good value!

We was there recently & found the food was good & the staff were really friendly. In fact we went back because my kids wanted to eat there again.

Just read the rubbish that started this thread. Widge you need to take the time to get your facts right before you leap onto forums running people down!

Lyn has for many years made her bases fresh each day!

We are residents and eat at some of the finest restaurants in the Algarve (not necessarily Carvoeiro!) but when we fancy a Pizza there is only one place to go! Lyn & Frasers pizza is the best I have ever had, a view shared by dozens of her "regulars" living in and around Carvoeiro who will all tell you the same. Lyn and Fraser have had some really bad luck with road traffic accident injuries this last few years and when they had to close for a while last year they were really missed. They are just getting back to normal now and dont need (or deserve) to have this kind of nonsense thrown at them.

If you get indegestion its generally because you chose the wrong ingredients for your digestive system. Oh yes and perhaps were a tad gready and just ate too much! But of course it couldnt possibly be that! Could it?

I was going to say that I've always liked the pizzas here, although I haven't tried them in recent years, and the owners are lovely people. However, I don't think anyone is doing themselves any favours (tonyc, Danny P and bunni, take note!). It all seems a bit desperate.

Always enjoyed their pizzas, and find it good value. Also, it is one of the few places I feel comfortable eating on my own.

Now thats a great post tonyc. We've been regulars since they reopened and never a problem with us, in fact a welcomed change from some of the other over-priced establishments.

Perhaps Widge experienced an off night, people. Not every restaurant is perfect all of the time you know!

Been eating at Fraser's for the last 20 years (includes Safari - RIP) - still living. Going again this June and have already ordered my first meal.
