There is a really good vets in Lagoa, on the road just behind Neto, and near to the bus stop. The vets speak perfect English and have treated both of my dogs during the last two summers. The details are:

Solvet
Rua - Dr.Francisco Sa Carneiro
Lagoa
Tel - 282 087 996
email - solvet@netvisao.pt

Hope this helps.

They also dealt with all of the certification etc for the trips back to the UK, and it is imperative to get the timing right, so worth a visit.

Villapet are good but a bit pricey - €55 to "de-nut" a local, very lovable Tomcat. Lagoa wanted 45

Solvet in Lagoa (near the Donkey Sanctuary charity shop) is very good & easy parking.
Details of this & other vet's have been posted on another thread, Michael may have put them in FAQ as it is a fairly frequently asked question :) .
