GET REVENGE on neighbours with dogs that bark all night by stealing the dog & putting it in YOUR garden to see how THEY like it

The dogs you are talking about at QDP/Monte CVO have been reported numerous times to the GNR but with no great success so far.
Fingers crossed that if enough people complain something will have to be done about them - (and I don't mean put them to sleep!)

Hi,
Very funny thread.
The Portuguese love their pooches :?
Reminded me of when we went for a long walk, in the back lanes just outside Villamorra, couple of years ago,and being repeatedly made to jump, by dogs leaping out of nowhere against their garden fences, howling and barking and very keen to get out of their gardens. Ominously tracking us as we moved down the length of the garden fences. They didn't look like they wanted a chat about the weather
The weird thing was, for a Brit, that it was almost every single house we wondered past, most unnerving :?
Before I upset dog lovers they may well of been very friendly if they'd managed to actually get through the chain link fences

If you take the cliff path towards Portimao, you skirt around the grounds of a very large villa with dogs. Luckily, the fence is high and strong! Given the choice, I think I would opt for walking through the lion enclosure at Longleat.

The cliff path is now virtually impassable for all but the very fit and brave. The dogs are still there including the ring leader a very nice beagle type dog who encourages the others. The old boxer just ignores you.

Indeedy :D
It's that second or two of real fear before the realization of the nice steel fence between the gnashing teeth and one's throat that is most unpleasent

We stayed at my nephews villa in Sesmarias in Sept.Next door there was a little brown mongrel type thing that had the unique ability to stay awake and bark 24/7.Across from him lived a Yorkshire Terrier that duetted with him yapping constantly. Then the dog with "attitude", who would sunbathe laying in the middle of the road and make you drive around him, he simply would not budge, I drove right up to him once, within an inch or two and he just rolled over.
There was also a small pack of ferrile dogs that hung out at the dustbins, boy when they started up you didn't half know about it. I made a crude pair of earplugs out of tissues and tried sleeping with my head under the pillow...didn't work.
The following night I consumed a vast amount of red wine before turning in , 'slept like a baby !

Little yappie chappies with attitude. :? Hard to believe, but if you lived there you would get immune to all that canine verbal energy and probably in the end miss it when the dogs are no longer there.

WE find that feeding the worst of them doggie chocs soon stops them treating us something they want to tear the throats out of , we are now tolerated at best.

Give it time and they will be wagging their tails at you furiously as a "friend" especially when food is concerned!
