Air conditioning
Does anybody know a reliable air conditioning firm that I can get a quote from for installing Air-Con in my villa?
I have just had a couple of estimates for air conditioning (from autoheat and SACL) and am interested in
1) have those who've used these companies had aircon retro fitted (ie not whilst villa etc being built) and was the work OK, and
2) has anyone got any experience of 'console' units which are fitted at the level that we install radiators in the UK rather that the 'split' units which are installed at a higher level

Re: Air conditioning
Avacfrio in Albufeira did ours (air conditioning supply) and the cost was very reasonable and also an excellent work, his number is 00351 918 048 761.
Re: Air conditioning
Given the hot and sticky weather over the last week, we have decided that A/C at least for the bedrooms, has moved quickly up the priority list. Wondering if you decided on an installer, Bruce? We know both SACL and Autoheat, so they would be on our quote list.

Re: Air conditioning
I actually used the handyman, Alipio that my management company , Elite, recommend.
He gave me a very competitive quote, using top end aircon units with exchangers,(the same units as an English Company in Lagoa quoted) and did a quick and efficient job for nearly 1000 euros less.
Very pleased.

I think that Autoheat have closed now, the guy who used to work for them is doing some air-con etc but not sure how much.Barry wrote:Given the hot and sticky weather over the last week, we have decided that A/C at least for the bedrooms, has moved quickly up the priority list.
