has anyone used algarve driver car rental if so were they good

If you mean the one on this site then yes we have used them for the past four years, they are great, good quality cars at reasonable prices, pick up and collect at the airport, no fuss, no extras and you don't pay until you get to the airport, pay in cash and you get a discount. I can't say enough about them we have been very happy customers as I said for four years.

Ditto. We have taken out annual insurance to cover the collision excess as that works out cheaper if you use them regularly. You do the paperwork at a table in the Arrivals concourse and then walk over to the carpark and pick up the car. When you return, you just leave it in the same place. No mucking around at an offsite location waiting for a bus to the airport.

I'm maybe over-cautious but I check the car for any dents or scratches and photograph them with a datestamp just in case. Not that it has been necessary.

Last week, we booked a Class A and got a top spec 307 Estate.

Algarve Driver are excellent, we use them all the time and can`t fault them.

we also use them all the time and have just booked a class B with a upgrade to class c if paid in cash at the airport.

We used them last year and wouldn't do so again.
Car was to be delivered to our villa as advertised , lethem know we were there, didn't turn up at agreed time, took 3 calls to get them to respond eventually driver turned up over two hours later than agreed and without the car, had to be driven in his car to collect it at a hotel on other side of town.

Car was well past it's best and dirty. We had booked this service nearlt two months earlier. Did get a discount on hire charges but will vote with our feet in future and go elsewhere.

shame about that SPARKS we have used them for the last 5 years with no problem at different times of the year Cars always in good nick.

Yes it was recomendations from this forum that made us choose them that and the fact thy could deliver to the villa. We had every excuse from didn't know where the villa was, they had the address for two months and even if they didn't know where had this time to contact us for directions. It is incidentally only 10 mins walk from village. Told that the time we requested was during their lunch time (2:30)so had no staff available again time was requested 2 months in advance. Told a time they would then arrive no one turned up, had to call again before they turned up to take me to the car.
We had been picked up at the airport by their mini bus service though with no problems.
