Linda will be leading this walk. It's around 10kms on mostly good tracks, no tarmac, one gradual uphill, the rest mostly flat or downhill. It is in an area of remote countryside. Hopefully we will get a nice breeze and good views whilst we wind our way around the the top of the hill. Usual rules: wear good footwear, bring a drink, walk at your own risk, no charge. There should be water for the dogs near the start and end of the walk.

MEET 9.30AM. Cafe Casa de Pasto Riba E Terinha ar Rasmalho. Directions: From the N125 at Portimao turn off and follow signs for Monchique. Go straight ahead at the roundabouts, go onto N266 direction Monchique, pass a petrol station on the left, after 1km you come into Rasmalho. The cafe is on the left. Park on the right as we will be driving a further 2kms to the start of the walk.

The cafe should be open for those wishing to arrive early for a coffee. I am not organsing lunch but they have a seating area outside and do a good priced set menu for anyone who wishes to stay after. Please put your name below if you would like to join me.

As the walk was only advertised the day before, we had a nice small group of 7 walkers and 3 x dogs. We enjoyed all the wild flowers and a nice breeze with lots of water for the dogs to cool off. Drinks at the cafe after before some headed off to Ourique for lunch.
