Linda and Russell will be leading this walk. We head up through the pretty village of Figueira, through the Cork forest and out into the countryside via the orange groves. Then it's back via the grapevines, passing ruined farmhouses with wild orchids. We head back via a cafe where we can stop for refreshments before heading back to the cars via the river bank. The walk is around 9kms and fairly flat and there is short section on uneven ground. Please wear suitable footwear, no charge.

The cafe also do a set menu for 10 euros if anyone wishes to stay for lunch.

Meeting time 10:00am. Meeting point: Sociedade de Figuerense, Figueira. Directions: Drive west along the N125, pass the Alvor turning and Penina Golf. About 2kms further along go under a footbridge and immediately turn right at the sign: "Polidisportivo". Park just after the social club entrance.
