Walk is now open as we have had 3 cancellations
Hi all
It's going to be good to be back, so fingers crossed we get out OK and can rember the tracks, so starting with an easy one....as long as there's not too much rain and the Enxerim river is not in spate! If it is, we'll re-arrange on the day.
It's flat along the lavada to start, has 5 minutes of back road and then is all on country tracks, many of them uphill but with quite a climb up to the windmill, but after that the paths are good and there is a gentle descent, along with some lovely views.
Duration : probably 2.5 hours
The cafe has been tried and recommended : menu and size is limited but they do a good grilled meat or fish prata de dia. Optional lunch price is about 8.5€ for chicken/pork/Carapau/chicken with chick peas but 12.5€ for Dorada......but please note new lunch price policy at viewtopic.php?f=39&t=27800 so , as no one will have any change, cost will be 10€ for chicken/pork etc and 15€ for dorada. We will need to order before the walk. See also my post below.
Degree of Difficulty ( scale 1:5 ) : the steep climb makes that part a grade 3, but the rest is overall grade 2 or 2.5.
Start: 1000.....but please arrive by 0945 if you want a coffee!...and to order lunch.
Directions : drive from Carvoeiro to Silves, go over the bridge and turn right and follow the N124 for about 3.2 kms until you see Cafe Casa de Pasto a Norinho on your left : park in layby opposite.

It is ESSENTIAL that you indicate below if you can come and whether you want lunch, as numbers will be limited to about 20. Thank you.
Walking boots/stout trainers recommended and walking poles.
Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain...no charge, of course...I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0830 on the day of the walk.
