October Trip

Post by joeysoap »

Vila Nova; Nobody cooks fish quite like this restaurant.

O'Salmao; Never disappoints, good food and very friendly service.

Cafe Ingles in Silves; Sunday Lunch and jazz in a beautiful setting.

A Tasquina: Lunch off the dinner menu on one occasion, Enjoyed.

Happys; sqeezed 5 of us in at late notice. Craic was good, place was buzzing . Never know where he gets his prices from, the bill is alway less that you think (even allowing that you get the bill after you have consumed numerous ports and can't add up anymore anyway :) )

A Tasquina (again) 11 of us sqeezed in this time. Really enjoyed this evening with good friends. bill for 11 with covers, starters, mains, deserts, drinks ( about 7 bottles of wine) etc was only €233. Suberb.

Taste; Food was superb, service was excellent.

O Indiano; Teriffic take away, learnt from past mistake - order for 3 and you easily have enough for 4. Delicious and all 4 of us totally enjoyed it.

Doner kebab place at bottom of steps (theres 149  steps, nearly opposite Harrys Bar). we did a take away from this restaurant one evening. Shish kebab (comes with salad and chips) and Doner kebab in a wrap. Doner kebab was delicious and huge, next time will have just the Doner Kebab with seperate portions of salad and chips Nothing wrong witht the Shish kebab but not a patch on Doner kebab.

Cafe Fino: Always visit this cafe for a snack but the reason I am bringing it in here is because of the dancing. Yes, dancing. We visited this place around lunchtime one day, customers with purple bands on their wrists all around us. Then one of them produces a cd and requests staff to play it. (Irish artist - don't know who it was - possibly Declan Nerney- Daniel O'Donnell type stuff but not Daniel) and some of the customers started dancing. Pointersister visited a day or two later and they were still playing this cd
