TASTE (used to be Medina)

Well the Village is in for a big treat, well the ones of us who love Ele and Ela are, we were very lucky to be invited to a Taster Evening last Monday at TASTE and it was great.

We were given 9 courses and all were a very high standard, I and my girls have never liked Tapas style food before but we have now changed our minds, the presentation and service was really good, it was not the usual bits of bread and dips and olives, it was really nice food dressed prawns, fillet steak, stuffed Tomatoes etc.

The Wine list was very big and catered for all price ranges which was also good, the lady behind the bar was very friendly as were the 2 waiters who were also very nice, the chefs seemed very nice as well.

The building was lovely before but has just had a few changes, new decoration, modern lights etc.

Sorry we cannot be at the opening at the start of May, but out again at the end of May and sure to be in lots.

The nice thing is it is very differnt from Ele and Ela, but yet still has the very high standards, sure it is going to be as succesful and we wish them lots of luck.

It is the place that used to be Medina, it is on the out Road on the left facing the inside cafe, there is also another entrance on the in Road, really is worth a visit think the opening is first week in May.

We had an invite to the opening on 4th May, but will still be in the UK. It is top of the list for our mid-June visit, though. We both prefer quality over quantity, since we don't have huge appetites, and the TASTE system of a number of small dishes sounds ideal.

Yes we had invite in May as well, you will really enjoy it I am sure, we cannot be there either as Girls at School doing AS exams, but I am out with some friends end of May and they cannot wait to try as the really like Ele and Ela.

We had an invite from Kimmy as well.....regrettably we cant be there on the night, but maybe she will keep our wood on wine on ice for us until July

My wife and I went to the opening night on Monday.We were very pleased with the meal and service.
I"m sure they will be succesful.Cant wait to go again on next trip.

What are the prices like? We went to the taster eve in April and just paid for Wine, the food was really nice not the usual Tapas style food

We had a couple of pre dinner drinks,5 tapas between us and a side of chips and onion rings,also a bottle of chemine.The bill came to 70 euros before tip.It was what I expected for the quality.
