Good to see two positive reviews. We are out in March and will definitely be visiting.

Make that three. We ate there in December a few times and we had very good meals all the time.

We had a meal there this week and can endorse the positive reviews. It was very quiet but Paulo and his team should make a success of their new venture. The menu is very similar to Casa Algarvia which is no bad thing and was very good value. We will be back in May.

Off there again tonight. This is definitely one of the best places around. What's more you can park!

This lovely little restaurant seems to be getting more popular by the week. We took 3 groups of friends there over our recent holiday and they all said they will be going back and introducing other people.

Had lunch here today, highly recommended. Great staff and food, lots of it and good quality. Great asset to new location, save me climbing hill to the Ritz!

Had an excellent meal here on Friday evening. Great food from a very varied menu and very professional and attentive service. There was a music group on - very funny as they spent 45 minutes tuning up, played four or five songs then tucked into a meal provided by the owner which they were still enjoying 40 minutes later when we were leaving.

After all the good reviews will try to locate this restaurant when we're back in 10 days although it is the 'wrong' side of cvo for us!!

Hi Geoff - yes still in Caramujeira. We've taken to eating in Porches, Lagoa and Alcantrilha and less so cvo. Is Ponto de Encontro somewhere near Escondidinho, which we did finally locate in July on 3rd attempt. Map not compatible with ipad!

Have just posted tunnel adventure on CoffeeShop

Quite agree....

No where near Escondidinho, its the other ( your) side of CVO.

Simplest way to describe getting to Ponto de Encontro is:
From CVO, go up restaurant hill.
at top, turn left ( think its sign posted).
After about 1km, there is a little off-set roundabout, go right for about 50m....again sign posted
Turn left and restaurant is on right after about 50m.

From Caramujiro, reckon you could easily approach in the opposite direction....ie from Rocha Brava, go towards CVO, past Tivoli, turn right at top of restauant hill....

Good luck. Lunches are €10 i believe, dinners bit more.

We have taken lunch here for the past 4 weeks on a Friday or Sat and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
€9 for cover, starter, main, dessert, coffee and sometimes a port and of course the obligatory pint and a for me a half carafe of white wine!. Great value and very tasty. For me it beats Vimar and is as good as the Ritz without the climb!
