Internet ISP

In the UK I use BT Internet who are reliable and offer a flat rate internet access as well as a pay as you go alternative. The cost per month for the flate rate service £15.99 - you can stay connected as long as you wish and no phone bill to pay over and above the monthly sum mentioned.

What please is available in Portugal - reliable, fast and cost effective? Recommendations and advice would be welcomed and appreciated.

I use oninet.pt - it is free (apart from local rate phone calls, which seem to be incredibly cheap), has so far been 100% reliable, and is fairly easy to set up (I don't speak any portuguese but it is just about possible to understand the sign up forms if you think about the questions asked when registering)

Good luck

Graham

P.S. If you want to access your UK computer from Portugal, have a look at gotomypc.com - allows you to effectively operate your UK desktop PC from anywhere in the world for the cost of a local phone call, as opposed to long distance charges with PC Anywhere - this software alone extends considerasbly the amount of time I am able to spend at my 'second office' (i.e Golf course)

Thanks Biffa, that should ensure I can get the work done quicker and spend longer on more important issues :D

Do you know how I would go about signing up for ADSL?

Any advice welcome

Just to refresh this subject, has ADSL now arrived in Carvoeiro as mentioned above? Does anyone know how to go about ordering it? Do you have to do this via an ISP as in the UK?

Any info and advice would be appreciated
