Stair Gates
Stair Gates
We need to buy some stair gates. Some would do as a standard size but the others will need an extra panel. I don't want to screw them it the wall so they need to be the screw rubber sides. as I'm a short ar*e I would prefer the version with a gate that opens. Does anyone know where I can see such products?

LICY you'll find most gates open, hence the name!LICY wrote:We need to buy some stair gates. Some would do as a standard size but the others will need an extra panel. Re: Stair Gates
Licy, there is a baby shop in Portimao at Aqua, they had two or three different models last year.
Re: Stair Gates
Leroy Merlin had them last year
Re: Stair Gates
Thanks for that. At least I know where to try.
it's not something I have ever noticed before in LM where we tend to visit most trips.

Re: Stair Gates
Think they did not have such gates for toddlers 50+ years ago.pato wrote:LICY you'll find most gates open, hence the name!LICY wrote:We need to buy some stair gates. Re: Stair Gates
We needed some stair gates when we bought 20 yrs ago. We had permanent decorative ones made to match existing railings. Need the occasional coat of hammerite, otherwise look good and don't need storage.
Re: Stair Gates
I need one either end of the bridge and on the landing either end to stop George getting near the stairs which are very wide with steel. I only want them in place when George comes out as it would spoil the contemporary style. Thanks though.

Re: Stair Gates
There is a man who makes steel gates near to the Fatacil. Going from CVO to FAO you come to an island - the tyre place is straight on and there is a charity place on the far corner. Turn right - think its SP benagil and approx. 50-100 m up on the left there is a window making place. If you pull onto that forecourt and go round to the left side there are a couple of small metal bashing places at the end - one of them - think its the one before the last - certainly makes stair rails and wrought iron metal doors.
Don't reckon it will stop hubby from sneaking out for a pint or two though

Re: Stair Gates
I bought the stairs gates at home way cheaper even with the easyjet one way luggage in the hold of £16.50. Very pleased.

That is sometimes the wisest thing to do Licy. Well done
Re: Stair Gates
TBH it was going to cost €250 as opposed to £116.50. The extensions for the pressure ones here were more expensive than the 3 gates. Crazy., but no choice as we did not want to spoil the walls.pointersister wrote:That is sometimes the wisest thing to do Licy. Well done
