We spent ages trying to avoid dark, heavy Portuguese furniture........

Try Movies Malheiros in Portimao, on the right hand side as you drive into Portimao from the motorway.
Very reliable good range of products.

As are we Jinan, we have dark, heavy looking furniture which we bought from a secondhand furniture shop in Porches some years ago now. They have moved to the Silves/Messines road just outside of Silves, phone number is 966 321 882 his name is Alex and he buys in dark oak furniture from Holland and house clearance. Give him a call and see if he has anything, he delivers.Jinan wrote:Well , we are all different.Bruce Wallis wrote:We spent ages trying to avoid dark, heavy Portuguese furniture........

There is a furniture shop in the shopping centre opposite the Fatacil park as you go into Lagoa from Faro - it is opposite Sofa VIP and you can see it on the left as you apporach the lights. The entrance is on the corner of the block - some very unusual items in there including lots of heavy oak tables and chairs

I bought 6 dining chairs from this guy - really good quality and strong enough that renters cant break them. He had a barn full of furniture! Just up the hill from Silves and down a track.Lesley Jean wrote:As are we Jinan, we have dark, heavy looking furniture which we bought from a secondhand furniture shop in Porches some years ago now. Re: Portuguese style furniture
We have bought furniture from the shop in Silves. It is not just over three floors - some departments are across the road in other shops. Cannot remember name, but looking on Google map I'd say it was in Rua Miguel Bombarda.

I am so glad that I can find this community because I got to know many useful things from this community and I really like that all the members are really nice and they are very helpful also. I am also little bit confused about purchasing furniture because I want to purchase Portuguese style of furniture because I love the culture and style of Portuguese.
