Registration Motor Scooter

Post by Billyboy »

Need some help please, or pointing in the right direction. I have acquired, from a client who couldn't pay his bills, a brand new unregistered 50cc motor scooter. I'm shipping it down to CVO and wish to register and insure it for use in Portugal. I have an original invoice and COC, does anyone know whow I would go about registering it in PT and arranging 3rd party insurance ? Thanks. Luckily it is left hand drive, BTW :D

And right hand drive as well - versatile! There is a company in Almancil who specialise in car importing, I will call them and check if they do it for mopeds - otherwise I would suggest you go to the licence people in the centre of lagoa - in the walking only area - they all speak english and are very helpful.

sorry billyboy they only do cars (evidently they charge €700 for the paperwork alone) - they said the licence office is the place to go. Do you know where it is in lagoa? if not send me a pm with e mail and I'll send you a map
