We are considering purchasing a villa on Quinta do Paraiso and would be interested in any comments or helpful hints from any current owners on this complex. Is it clean, well kept common areas, good management etc etc.
Comments also appreciated from anyone who has been on holiday there recently.

I purchased a Villa on the complex 18 months ago. My villa does not come under the complex management, I think you'll find they only manage the apartments. I can recommend my manager if you are interested.
The pool and surrounding areas, restaraunts etc are all well kept. There is entertainment in the main bar in the main season, but I don't think it's up to much.
There is a free shuttle bus into town which is meant for the complex guests but it is possible to sneak a free ride now and again!
The shop is only open from Mar to Nov but the one at Monte Carvoeiro is handy depending on where you are situated.
Is the property you are looking at detached or semi detached?
I suggest a proper survey as some of the Villas are over 20 years old and may have a slight drainage problem, nothing serious. Repair cost me about 1500 euros.
There is also Escondinho tucked away for a cheap meal if you fancy a change!
