Changing Electronic Gate codes

Hi all, can anyone help please?

We had electric gates fitted a few years ago but cannot, for the life of us, find anyone who can change the code on the keypad. We have been told that the only way to do it is to have the original fitter come and re-wire the whole system!!

This doesn't seem right to me - surely it is the case that you press a reset button within the locked consumer box and key in the new code?? I've had a look myself but there's nothing obvious. There's not even a make or model on any of the components so that we can approach the manufacturer!

If anyone can shed some light on this, or recommend someone who can get us out of this fix, we would greatly appreciate your help.

I had the same problem and used the guys next to the FATACIL, round the back next to the old council vet, the deal in all types of electronic gates.

Can you be more exact as to there location and I will put them on the DIY map.

As you come from Carvoeiro towards Lagoa just before the pingo doce roundabout before the bend you have a turning to your right which takes you to the fatacil, just before the mini roundabout in front of the old marble factory you have 2 warehouses on your left,1 sells aluminium windows and doors and the other is security gates / electronic gates and electric garage doors . Sorry cant remember name of the establishment, but will get it tomorrow and post it online.

No they are not carpenters, I had a quote from them for electric gates and a 5m electric steel shutter.

The electronic gate company are down the side of the Carpentry/aluminium factory. Last little place as you go down the drive at the left of the factory. They used to be round the corner next to the vet.
