having seen the advert in the resident business pages (no tel number..no map..just an explanation " by the 3 palms roundabout"), so I went looking for this new english run, english owned, english cooked fishy and chippy shoppe in albufeira.....well I go to albufeira 3 times a week..and it has taken me 4 journeys of discovery to track em down.....and??'aah well yes its a proper chip shop with real chips (not frozen excruded flour and starch things) ..pukka pies, mushy peas and cod is about 5 euros.

so yes quite good...now I know where it is!

memo to anyone with a business..please put a map on your adverts.

Wonder how the Mona Lisa chippy is doing at Quarteira? The place that was one TV?

Still there, with the same owners as appeared on TV. I have never felt the need to use it myself but it is very popular with the package tour patrons. Absolutely mobbed on Wednesday when the holiday companies bus them in, in their droves to visit the 'Typical Gypsy Market'

PS want to by a video camera - very cheeep price
