Quite a few of the Ali Supers have their own ovens, where are you staying? Intermarche do as well but the locals are much better!

We're staying in Carvoeiro Clube, west of Carvoeiro. Stayed last year in Rocha Brava but couldn't find a "traditional" bakery in the village. Indeed bought my rolls etc in supermarkets, was ok, but thought a bakery would have a bigger selection.
Thanks for your help.

Bakery in Carvoeiro

I think that one of the best in the area is Helydoce in Lagoa. It is a patisserie with a bakery on site. It is situated in the newly developed area of Lagoa near Fatacil. It is near Solvet and the donkey charity shop. There is also a German bakery a block away which makes excellent cakes.

A travelling baker, from Armacao de Pera brings cakes (and lots of interesting breads) to the tennis club on Wednesday and Sunday mornings and sells them from the back of his van or a stall in the reception area of the club. His cakes are very yummy ( my favourite, the apple crumble stuff) - keep trying to persuade him to get an outlet in Carvoeiro but no success so far.

He comes there on these days 'cos they are ladies doubles morning and mixed doubles morning - not sure if he comes any other days.

Definitely worth a trip to the tennis club !
