At 12.01am on 1 May, border controls at the land border with Spain will be lifted.

I went by car from Spain to France when borders were closed. And there was no police or stop or anything closed. Everything is moving normaly.

Friends of ours were turned back by Spanish police at the Portuguese border despite having proof of house in Spain....so you were lucky!
