Where do you take visitors when they come to Carvoeiro?

Let us know about the best restaurants, beaches and hidden spots that are a “must” for anyone coming to Carvoeiro for the first time!
For me, a must is a walk down to Boneca restaurant in Algar Seco - the views at the top are amazing, the food and drinks at the bottom make it worth the effort to tackle the steps back up again!

Without a doubt visitors should go to Praia de Marinha just past Benegil on the coast road. This is one of the more picturesque beaches in the Algarve and if your visitors want to walk on the cliffs they are easily accessible.

1. Saturday morning breakfast and walk around silves market
2. Benegil beach for the views and a swim
3. Ferragudo for lunch or drink in the square
4. Cocktails at he cocktail garden monte Carvoeiro
5. Saturday teatime(in summer) walk on canieros beach and listen to Johnny white

Evening entertainment

1. Dinner at: Vila nova, fin do mondo, Velho Nuevo and Carlos in amaraco de Pera, la tasquina

Trips out: selema, oxidere and algarve shopping when raining

Obviously our visitors would have to come for a month!!!

A trip up to the top of the Serra de Monchique. Fantastic view from the top, it was on our mind for a long time to go up there and we did the last time we were over and it was well worth it.

A must for all beef eaters is The Wolf in Carvoeiro and for fish lovers Rei das Praias at Caneiros beach. A trip to Lagos for lunch at Antonios at Porto dos Mos (the west side of Lagos) is well worth it too. If you feel like splashing out lunch at Vila Joya in Gale is a real treat http://www.vilajoya.com/.

I agree with Vilajoya and Rei Das Praias but I recently had my worse meal since I started visiting the Algarve in terms of service, taste and value at Wolf.

Oh my goodness, so many wonderful places, restaurants and bars!!!! Ticked off most of them!
In addition to all of above!!, we take visitors to Original and Econdidiha (spelt wrong, beside QdP).
Cliff top walks are great if you know other good access points e.g Vale de Lapa area.
Foia for view on good days.
Alte worth a drive to.
Just saying.

Aldo

Did you complain? I have been many times and the quality of the food has always been first class.

Beach wise has to be my local Caneiros i love it there. Used to be Centiannes but its become far too rocky now for my liking.

Restaurants my favourites are mixed grill at Fim du Mundo in Ferragudo, pizzas at Mama Mias in Carvoeiro and Ele Ela for the best ribs ive ever had!!!

Bars has to be Cocktail Garden (though i am biased!) and Mungos if going out with friends but thats more the younger clientelle!!!!

Ferraguedo is a must, but wander round the back streets up to the church......and go for some countryside walks:
