Looking at various web sites and speaking with someone I know in CVO bad weather has set in now through to Friday 19.9.14. For all those travelling at this time of year I hope the forecasts are wrong. Funnily enough, exactly one year from today I fly out for ten days. Enjoy :P

Hope does clear up by 19th Sept as we fly over on 20th for, well not quite sure for how long as haven't booked return flights yet!! Have friends flying over on 25th for the weekend, so let the sun keep shining!

Hi Smudger. I hope so. But there's always so much to do at VDO that can be indoors. Whatever, have a great time and I hope the sun shines for you and your friends - enjoy :P

Cheers Lamby. Actually staying in town, up behind the primary school near Monte Carvoeiro before heading to VdO. Just a short stagger from Hemies etc!!!!
Hope to have that beer with you sometime soon! 8)

Just returned from a week at Caramujeira and we had sunshine every day despite the forecast. We dodged the rain on the Wednesday by heading east and apart from some 'sea fret' on a couple of mornings it was good beach weather. Hopefully for those in cvo this week, the forecast will be as wrong!

Those weather forecasts are v unreliable.
We spent 10 days in CVO; returned home early hours this morning. Had one afternoon of rain on Wednesday last week. Other days decent sunshine, although misty/low cloud came in off the sea a few mornings.

According to a couple of weather sites i access regularly we were meant to have thunderstorms most days in the last week, and they didn't materialise.
