Bring towels or purchase them?

Almost ready to depart with only a few days to go, cant wait. As there are 9 of us and travelling steerage with Ryanair, i just thought i would pose the question about towels. We have a villa hired and will need to bring beach towels, so just wondering if we could pick up large beach towels at very reasonable prices rather than pack them with the usual weight restrictions. Usually by the end of the holiday the towels are ready to be discarded anyway. Tried to look at Primark site in Portimao or continente or jumbo to see towel prices, but no luck. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Please bring or buy your own beach towesls , most property owners would be very uspset to think that you were using those supplied for use in the villa etc.
I have known some deduct money from the security deposit for towel stained with sun tan lotion etc.
Beach towels in the supermarkets are not expensive and it is just good manners to provide your own.

You obviously did not read my post correctly. I never mentioned using the Villa towels. My question was to bring them as We usually do, or purchase them locally.

In October that price would have been in the sale as the last thing any store wants to do is carry stock through the winter, but saying that should still be able to pick up towels there for no more than 10 € each.

Coming from someone who not read and understand his car insurance policy.
I did not suggest that Shep would use his owners towels but this forum is read by others who may not be aware of the problems this can cause.

EMM, please don't piss in your swimming pool.
I know you never said you were going to, but that info could also be handy for others.

Have you thought about asking the villa owner to provide them for you, against which you are happy to make a contribution, but they get to keep the towels for the future? €50 might not buy nine towels but it might persuade an owner to.

the idea is to read the contributors question and try to provide a helpful, pertinent answer.
I was indeed legally insured, and that's the opinion of a Insurance Barrister, thankfully the world doesn't have to exist on the waffle that you relentlessly spout.

I'm sure that I can't be the only one who thinks you did suggest just that!

You misread Shep's post, and then gave him a lecture on good manners. It would be most helpful to other property owners offering holiday rentals if you refrained from posting such drivel as you seem intent on insulting visitor's intelligence and generally misrepresenting Carvoeiro by continually running the place down.

I must say I'm a little surprised to see you out of Chit Chat Pato, is it a mufty day or something?
it seems not too long ago that you were bemoaning how boring this site had become with the lack of needle & ding dong; and now here you are asking us to stop
what are we to think?
but I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Help the Aged so I'll heed your request and leave your mate alone, so you can resume your enjoyment of his bigotry, cheers

In a way we're all bigots I suppose, I have had my moments on other topics, I suppose one of the most controversial was my attack on the Dutch via my "constructive" comments on Maximes in the restaurant revue topic.
