Where is the Bote mentioned below in the forum? - Is it open yet?

Just about to come out now to CVO - I do like a bit of live music with a pint.

Can anyone give me a few venues where there is a bit of live stuff and the nights they occur?

Bote is right on the beach on the right hand side . Live music in Bradys also sure Mungos had a singer on a couple of nights as well. Also live singer on the street across from oasis restaurant beside hemingways.

Last night there was a guitarist in the square and on the small stage opposite oasis.
The outsiders were at Bradys and the Roundup was in full swing with Kararoke.
Mungos has music at the weekends as does the Black Stove,

My views on song stranglers ( Karaoke ) are well know but last night what we heard walking past the Roundup was melodic bliss copared to the drunken moron in Bradys who bellowed out of tune throughout much of the performance.

Probably a recording of Bruce Wallis singing Beegees in falsetto :D

I was referring to the "melodic bliss" not the "drunken moron".

Tuesday and Thursday near Heminways from 9pm on the out road plus the beach. I think at this time of year there is bound to be live music at a number of bars on restaurant hill too. Sure you will not have any problems finding live music. :D

There is live music on Mon, Wed, Fri nights in the square in Monte Carvoeiro until the end of August. This is sponsored by the restaurants and bars up there. Monday night there is a fab guitarist, Wed night a group, their rendition of "Baker Street" last night was fantastic, these guys can play!! and Friday there is Rudy Jackets. Monte Carvoeiro square has come alive again.

That's good to hear - we stay there every year and the last couple of years it's been a bit dead on an evening, when we've given town a miss to drink at Cocktail Garden.
Shame it's not extended to September though, as we are out there for 11 days from 6th Sept.

Went in Roundup last night and was thoroughly entertained by the guy there with a guitar and backing tracks. Nearly live music I suppose but after a few Guinness I enjoyed myself. One of the best bars in cvo in my opinion.

Good to hear. Love Round Up. Spend most evenings in there when we're in CVO.

We saw another group in Bradys last night, two guitarists and a male vocalist, Bradys is really becoming the centre of live music in Carvoeiro it is a pity that it does not get the custom it deserves.
Contrast to the Roundup which we passed on the way home 12.30 ish, full with the song stranglers in full voice ??. Lots of younger visitors drinking outside many very much the worse for wear.
I hope that Will does not fall foul of the GNR because of the behaviour of some of his customers.
