Bote

I was out last weekend and found out from the girl in Brady's that the Bote had been taken over by the guys that run Havana cocktail bar. We went down there on Friday night and there was a good live band but few people. We thought we would give it a go again on Saturday but it was shut! It seems strange that we found out it was open from the girl in Brady's, even though we were drinking in Havana an hour previously and the business plan does not include opening on Saturday nights. We weren't the only ones wandering down to the beach on Saturday only to turn back and try and find somewhere else to drink.

Does anyone have any more info? Will it be open again or is it another false dawn for the Bote?

Yep, you are right it is closed again. Did think it would be difficult to run the two places.

Difficult, but not impossible. Probably too early in the season yet, waiting for the summer workforce to turn up.

We were in here on the opening night 7th june and the place was really busy but it was being advertised . They were open on the saturday and had a live band on the sunday too .I did mention to Harrison the guy behind the bar in Havana that I thought that they would need to advertise this place as its a bit hidden .

Heard from a reliable source last night that the Bote is closed, Apparently the owners of the Havana bar rented it for a short while from the Bote's owner
but found the cost of the music licence too high. It has now reverted back to the original owner and will open on the 8th or 9th July (forgot what date he said)

Please kept this post going regarding opening of Bote. Have son and 4 pals visiting in August and have heard from older sister of the foam parties!! Don't want to disappoint the boys! Thanks.

Reopening 8th July by original owner and foam parties will be back.
