Celebtrities in CVO

Over the weekend of 2 - 4.6.12 I had the pleasure of meeting Tony Livesey in CVO. Probably known best to people in the north of England as Sports Presenter on BBC's North West Tonight. However, he has done extensive work for the BBC both on TV and radio. He was extremely pleasant and posed for a photo. I am most definitely not one to "gush" over celebrities, but having been asked by one of his friends to join them on the Saturday evening to watch the England v Belgium game I did get to meet the TV presenter. A charming chap indeed. I was just wondering, has anyone else spotted a celebrity in CVO??

Hi Lamby,
We once saw Les Battersby (Coronation Street) in the Grotto bar at the Almansor.
I got Gary Neville's autograph at the airport once he had finished eating his burger! Mike was not impressed!
And we also saw Paul Dickov at the airport.
It's certainly a popular place.

Hi Sam. Obviously you are not familiar with the legend that is Mr. Tony Livesey. Also, how nice of you to think that a fat, bald old guy could possibly be a TV presenter. I'm on the right in the glasses

Apparently the actress Emily Blunt used to holiday here, and Pixie Lott's family have a home here. A few years ago, Brian McFadden and Kerry Katona were spotted having lunch at what was Catz Pyjamas. And that was even before we got an Iceland in Guia...

The 80s actor, Paul Nicolas, and the 60s rock star, Marty Wilde, both have villas in the area close to Carvoeiro.

What a great photo and what a fab thread! A new trend has begun - who can get their photo taken with a celebrity in CVO!
And Cliff Richard doesn't count.......
