Hi just returned from our first visit staying at the tivoli was wondering if anyone can tell me the name of the area that is at the top of the steep hill following the coast heading back from beach as we seen some nice villas there and we are trying to see if we can book something for next year.

Think the area you are refering to is, Centinenes. Some of the forum members have villas there, Bruce Wallis has an especially lovely one. pm him for rates.

From the description, it could also be Monte C. or Monte D.

I might no longer be the Moderator for FAQ, but you can still access my input, one of which will reveal this map:
CLICK HERE, which might help identify the area in question.

They must make a fortune in season judging by their prices, one of the most expensive for what you get in Carvoeiro.
Once was enough.

Very short season though , you have to work very hard for those 3-4 months to make enough to cover your bills and live for the rest of the year....and if they charge 20% more for location and carrying supplies up and down those stairs would you grudge them that?????? .............. Oh yes you would if your name is EMM
