Lost Dog
Our 5 month old Labrador/German Shepherd dog cross has managed to get out and despite our best endeavours - we have been unable to find him.
He is predominantly black with brown flecks on his legs and two brown patches directly above his eyes and has a distinct white flash (which looks like he's wearing a tie) on his chest. He has a multi-coloured collar with a medal containing his name (Noah) and our telephone number.
We live in the Mato Serrao area and he has been missing since Thursday evening.
If anybody has seen or knows of a dog being found - please pm me.

Re: Lost Dog
Any news? I mean it's quite a big dog isn't it, surely someone must have seen it around town, best of luck anyway.

Re: Lost Dog
Could be running with a pack somewhere, do you know of any strays in the area, sometime they just hook up for a while.
Hope you find him soon.

Thank you - I have driven around Carvoeiro in its entirety, Lagoa including Estombar for 2 days and have just done so again this morning for an hour - no news.
I have contacted all the homes for abandoned animals that I know of - nothing. I'll keep at it - even the cats are now looking concerned

Good luck I hope you find him soon
Re: Lost Dog
There was a black dog hanging around the Pingo Doce in Lagoa about 6pmish, but I don't think he had a collar on, and he a white tip to his tail as well.
Do you have a picture of him at all? I keep peering suspiciously at people's predominantly black dogs...

Thank you Vivamus - he doesn't have a white tip to his tail.
I do have a picture of him taken 4 weeks ago - but don't know how to attach it to a post on here.

Re: Lost Dog
Shanagarry - sorry about your puppy! I know how it feels to not know how they are or where they are.
I have copied this from the FAQs -
Can I post images?
Yes, images can be shown in your posts. If the administrator has allowed attachments, you may be able to upload the image to the board. Otherwise, you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.example.com/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor images stored behind authentication mechanisms, e.g. hotmail or yahoo mailboxes, password protected sites, etc. To display the image use the BBCode [img] tag.
Hope this helps since a picture would be helpful.
Safe return for your puppy - maybe posting his name would help if he responds to it.
I have been through this with my siamese cat when she was a kitten = happy ending.

Re: Lost Dog
Blue has very kindly given me a lead and we are going to Vale Fuzeiros shortly to see if it is our dog.
Coincidentally the person who has him is a person I have known for a few years and had him dumped on him on Friday last.
Fingers crossed
