Parking in Carvoeiro

Post by ncook »

Hi all,

We haven't been to Carvoeiro for a couple of years since all the work was done in the square.

I seem to recall that a new carpark was being built half way up restaurant hill on the left. Is this the case?

We are staying at a villa in Areias dos Moinhos from 6th to 12th of September and will be driving into town for dinner most evenings.

We're quite early eaters and usually manage to find a space on the road. Any more up to date info?

Thanks

Nick

not at the moment I am afraid, parking is quiet hard during the summer, the best place is to drive up by the Church but you can only get there now by turning left at the top of 'restaurant hill' as you are facing the village, the road that goes to the church is now one way but they have put quiet a few car parking spaces up there now.

I've had my mother with me this week and we have had to park near the beach as she finds it hard to walk back to the top of restaurant hill. We've found parking spaces each time - although I think we've been lucky.

We are just back fro CVO and what i did was park up at the church and strolled down past the police station, when we were ready to go i would go get the car and pick my passengers up at the bottom of the down road past the back of the school. SIMPLES

If you are on the west side park around Monte Carvoeiro or by the school. You still have to walk down but at least you will avoid the pssoibility of a ticket if you park in the wrong places near the square.
