I thought there was a new sports bar in MC. I went to watch the World Cup Final of the 20 -20 cricket on Sunday. (A small matter between England and the Convicts) and the bar was closed. !!!!

The curse of Monte CVO strikes again.

There's been little demand up there for extra bars in the last few years. We stay at Monte CVO and used to frequent the bars/restaurants there every other night when we first started to visit CVO, but in recent years it's been dead, except for Cocktail Garden.
Plus Phoenix Nights is there as well - in the current climate i do not believe it can sustain more than a couple of bars, together with the restaurants.

Sad really because it offers a really good alternative to the village itself on some nights of a 2-week break.

yes what happened? I can remember posting a 'congratulations hope all goes well' type post on here just a couple of months back!

This is really sounding personel now, by just a few members.................as no on in Carvoeiro is interested in comments made by Shanagarry beware or maybe his been banned already from most bars and as his topic is totally off topic. You will all be pleased to know the bar was open today as usual and its a lovely bar very friendly.

Perhaps it was just shut for that one Sunday - hope so because MCVO really needs a bit of choice.

I know that he was looking for staff so maybe that was the reason.

Let's hope he makes a success of it - it won't be easy up there though

Not sure I like the thought of my beloved Monte Carvoeiro being invaded by you 2 interlopers - do you promise to be on your best behaviour? - no peeing in the fountain and the like

Pato tends to be an Eastender and I thought it would be good for him to see a bit of culture for a change.

a member of family was not well at all thats why the bar was closed on sunday

I don't think telling potential customers to get a life will do you any favours!!
