We spent a few days this summer in Carbis Bay in Cornwall - lovely hotel with pool right on it's own fabulous sand beach. We had great weather which is the one thing you can't guarantee unlike CVO

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for all the suggestions - there's plenty to go at there!!

We were possibly thinking about somewhere in Greece, or one of the Greek Islands, & quite a few of you have mentioned places in Greece (or the Greek Islands) - but one of the things we were wondering about, was what the impact of the ecomomy was having (if any), on the tourist industry?

A couple of places we were thinking about, was Crete (North of the Island) or Kefalonia??

Once again, many thanks for all the suggestions - I'll get looking up all your recommendations!!

If thinking about Crete then go to Elounda and stay in the Domes of Elounda - heaven!!! Look at http://www.domesofelounda.com/ and make your own mind up. We loved it and would certainly go back.
