Re: Silves Castle.
Lat time out we visited the castle - interesting building if you like your history and architecture but not much else to say about it. We then did a 2 hour boat trip down the river and back which was very nice - one option if you want castle and boat trip in a day
We were recommended nto luch at Cafe Inglis but that was totally full by the time we got out the castle. So lunched in a back-street cafe which was really good value for your Euros as it appeared were quite a few others. Didn't really look at Cafe Inglis menu so can't comment on that.

Re: Silves Castle.
Thanks for all the replies. We'll certainly try to do the boat trip.

I like Cafe Ingles very much, great view. The menu is varied anything from good American style burgers, pizzas, nachos etc., to more traditional fare. Great Sunday lunch but not sure if they do the same Sunday menu in the summer. Live jazz/latino music very good.
