Planning in advance

Post by Lamby »

Talk about planning ahead. We have just booked for September 2015. However, I feel a little bit of a fraud, a deserter, a cheat!!! We are staying in Silves. Does this mean I am changing my allegiance and now I should look for a Silves Forum??? We both fancied something different but at the same time something that allowed us our "Carvoeiro fix" and the opportunity to still visit all the beautiful beaches in the area. We have found a beautiful B&B in rural Silves set among orange trees and in walking distance to the beautiful town. So, we will dine at one or two of our favourite eateries in CVO but we will also be dining out in Silves, something we have never done before. So, as The Monty Python Gang might say....... "Now, for something completely different" - happy days

Hiya, we too do this change for 'now something completely different', and have hols in Cabanas de Tavira.
Primarily cos tis flat and easier for me.
However we had a wonderful holiday earlier this year in CVO, and our love for this area grew enormously more than ever.
We too have made tentativie enquiries for 2015 May/June and again for October 2015. That one for our 10th Weddding Anniversary.
Alegiences come and go but 'Here to stay' is all our love for CVO.
Silves is fab and your 'fix' for CVO is still in spitting distance, so to speak.
Will look forward to hearing about your hols in 2015 on staying in Silves.
The municipal pool in Silves is very good.

I know, I meant to thank you for that snaj1   - we really did investigate all aspects of accommodation in and around CVO but in the end we really did fancy something very different. The B&B is a way out of Silves in an area called Santo Estavao. It looks so tranquil and stunning but with all amenities and comforts. Thanks again snaj1

Hi sanj1 - VDO is beautiful. There is a play area and an indoor playroom, there is no separate children's pool. To be perfectly honest, with the leisure facilities and gym I think they are pushing more towards the adult market and all public areas are excellent and give of an impression of sophistication. That's not to say they don't cater for the little ones, it's just my impression. That's one reason we love it - I wouldn't go somewhere with 100's of children running amok, I am officially a boring, miserable old git!! My days of worrying about the children are long gone, my boys are now 27 & 25 !!
