Not so PTB. The majority of City fans respect Denis as much as the United fans do. He played for City for two terms don't forget. Regarding that back heel against United during his second spell with City, although we City fans were delighted to see him scoring against the old enemy, many of us empathised with his obvious regret at doing damage to the club where he had enjoyed the best of his days.
Denis lives in my neck of the woods and I've met him on a few occasions at sporting events. He's a genuine bloke with no airs and graces (as most of his generation of players are). Does a lot for local cancer charities especially since his own scare a few years back. One of his sons played for a team I ran in the Altrincham League in the 90s.

Oh! and my 'celebrity' sighting in the Algarve, if you can call it that, is Bonnie Tyler (remember her?). She was with a bloke at the next table last year in our favourite Indian restaurant, but i didn't suffer a 'total eclipse of the heart'.

The 80s actor, Paul Nicolas, and the 60s rock star, Marty Wilde, both have villas in the area close to Carvoeiro.

My family and I stayed in Marty Wilde's villa in 2008. By pure coincidence, right next door to O'Pescador where we stayed in 2007 and really close to the Ritz, i.e. a 2 minute walk
