Does anyone know if there is a launderette in Carvoeiro or Lagoa area.
I have two quilts which I would like to wash whilst over at Easter
Thanks

Don't know about a laundrette in the area but the large supermarket on the road to Slide and Splash have a laundry service. I priced getting a rug cleaned last october and found them quite competitive.

There is a laundry service in Lagoa Aldo...Im trying to think of the easiest way to show you.
If you walk through the pedestrian way (from the park) and walk to the end....turn left and then walk through, past the church up to where the bank used to be..carry on walking, then do a right turn and you should find the laundry along on your left hand side.
Can't be more specific than that sorry!
Good luck :)

Yes I use the one on the in Road, my only advice is, do not take lots of things in at once, they have lost a shirt and a skirt, when I had left things for 6 weeks, and if they say it will be ready in a week it is usually longer, they are pleasant people though and the clothes are always well done.

Once staying in a townhouse a few years back, one of the lads who used to come with us had a habit of bringing his dirty washing with him, he came up to me one day and said that he was a bit worried that the washing machine was still going, I said we would go to the managing agent and report it, which we did, we told her that the thing was still going and could somebody have a look at it, she looked at us with the contempt only a woman can muster when talking about machines that only women should be in charge of and said ‘’Are you sure you waited for the full cycle to finish’’ he said, well I thought it would have finished by now, she said when did you put your washing in? he replied, three days ago……. True story

I have used the laundry/dry cleaners in the Intermarche on a number of occasions, both for laundry and having curtains shortened - they have a sewing service also. I have found them to be very efficient and the quality of the work/service is excellent (two days for collection of laundry and four for sewing).
