Has anybody used this company before. I am considering booking with them but would like to hear of any experiences other member may have had.

Re: Myalgarvecars.com
I can't recall anyone on the forum mentioning them before. Are they new?
Re: Myalgarvecars.com
Never heard of them. Suggest you check out luzcar.com. Have been using them for the last 6 years or so and they always seem to be very reliable and competitively priced.

Why not help support this site and look www.algarvedriver.com ?
Re: Myalgarvecars.com
Just visited their site and obtained a quote for April it just about matches Argus at £180 (14 days hire) ie 170 euros Fiesta but as Roundy say's don't know anything about them.
Re: Myalgarvecars.com
Thanks for all the replies. The key to my rental this year is that I get an Automatic VW Golf sized car. I initially had one booked with Argus for approx €600 for the 2 weeks in July. A week later they rang to say they could not meet the agreed price and wanted €300 more. Naturally I declined.
Luz cars don't seem to offer this size of car in automatic. Algarvedriver.com does seem to meet my needs at a mere €30 more than Myalgarvecars.com . So my question is whether Algarvedriver.com can guarantee the car I need in July or like Argus will they have to check availability after they accept my booking.

Re: Myalgarvecars.com
When I needed automatic cars in the past I used Sixt. No longer user automatics so use economycarrentals.com now. Worth checking wtih Sixr it you want a specific car.

What a swizz!!
Arrived at Airport having booked an automatic Volkswagen Golf. Was offered a manual Peugeot 207 instead. When I reminded the rep of the e-mail I got confirming the Automatic car was guaranteed due to my bad back, he then offered me an Automatic Opel Corsa that would be available when parts were received from Germany. He had the affront to say that I was never going to get a Golf Automatic, because Myalgarvecars.com don't do them. When I asked about the €300 price difference between a Golf and a Corsa, he offered to knock off €60. I refrained from knocking off anything of his, but instead politely requested that he shove the larger of the 2 vehicles up his rectum.
The taxi to Carvoeiro was €72 but as long as Myalgarvecars.com didn't get the money, I didn't mind!

I've used holidayautos.co.uk for previous visits to CVO and will use again later this year.
Both cheap and reliable - I would recommend them
