Hello Again At Last

Well - hello to you all - again - at last I have got on line - well it's been on month acutally but am only tonight sitting down to write to you. Firstly a big thank you to those of you who wished us well and gave us advice and pointers for our move. My last post was back in October before I went offline for the big move! We have been happily living in Pera since November and I have to say I am sooo happy and it has been the best thing. The kids are settled very happlily in Pera school and we are in the process of getting our residency sorted out. Even managed to do our bit for the homeless dogs of Portugal and collected one from Gale beach!!! that makes 4 kids 3 dogs and 1 rabbit (thank god the doctors and vets here have been brilliant!) Everywhere we have been met and helped with the utmost of Portuguese charm and warmth. Met some very nice Brits too! I would pick your brains again on a few issues but I think i'll leave it for tomorrow night. Just wanted to say I am around and hi!

Glad to hear your move has gone well and you are settled and happy. If you are an animal lover collecting more goes with the territory !! Make sure you get the dogs treated for heartworm.
I have my own street dog which I rescued as a puppy whilst living in Madeira, she is nearly 5. I had re located to Madeira but for some reason decided I was fed up and missed home, returning late last year.

Hi Karen - sorry to hear you feel you have made the wrong move - is there any way you can move back again?? You sound really fed up. As for the dogs - yes they are all heartwormed and leishmaniared (don't know if thats the right spelling) I just need to get the little dog spayed now! We shall be going to scrufts next week and entering her in a couple of things - waggiest tail???. Mind you does anyone know where the Fissul Centre is in Silves?
