There will be 10 adults and one 13 year old, booked for a meal early on and then usualy go in the square, but would be a great place to watch the fireworks. Joanne
Prices will be advertised as soon as possible with all details...

Nope, it was a conversation between a supplier and somebody else in a bar that I overheard. Supplier was trying to get a hold of them about some unpaid invoices and could not reach them. The other person said that the current owner was broke.Gambrinus wrote:Probably some drunk and daft punk who didn't have anything better to do than spread stupid rumours.

You're welcome Phil...
Anyway, don't shoot the messenger, I am merely posting what I have heard. The supplier is rather well known to me, and I have no reason to doubt his story.
If all is OK, and there is no financial problem, you can just post it here, cannot you? Until now you have not made an effort in that direction.

I am not stating anything G. Only posting a rumour that is going around. If such a rumour would go around over my company I would prefer to hear about it and set the record straight. Personally I wish Phil all the best as I do think Carvoeiro is better of with the 'new' Bote.Gambrinus wrote:Guilty until prooven innocent? I love that system.Rob F wrote:

Please do not get me wrong on this...
The trouble with rumours are they get bigger and nasty as it moves along.
This seems to apply more so to when a Brit opens up something in CVO, which has sparked many a debate and wrangle on this site.
Jealousy must play a part.
I myself hope all ventures are profitable regardless of who opens what, however, as long as they abide by law, personable and not promote trouble, then all is well.
The bote people are great. I met them one lunchtime overlooking the square having a jolly good lunch and we chatted for a good while. Think they are really nice and are ideal for the business they are competently running. I wish I were able to get to CVO to visit the bote and all who sail in her and have a fab time now and the New Year and for the years to come

We had a lovely drink in the bote this afternoon. They are now opening from 3pm and have shut the downstairs for the winter and just opening the terrace which over looks the beach. I thought I should come on here and recommend it as we were the only ones there and people don't know what they are missing. It has the best view and a lovely sunset at this time of year. You can't beat it.
