I am going out soon. Help Please!
Hi, me and my girlfriend are going out in 2 weeks time and were wondering if there are any shops in the area which can supply the simple stuff. like water, snacks etc.. as we dont fancy getting a bus out of town.
Also, is the weather on course to be good from the 29th onwards?
Thanks in advance
Jon

No Bruce. It was because she was a self obsessed, neurotic fruit cake from North Wales and didn't want to do anything. We were in Albufeira at easter, the weather was crap so we just sat around inside dreary little bars with a bunch of bitter, alcoholic, back-stabbing ex-pats. I look back to that holiday and still shudder and that was 10 years ago.Bruce Wallis wrote:Was it the demands she was making on the temple that is your body?

Jon,
You'll have a great time, the town has enough restaurants and little shops and great bars to keep you both happy for a fortnight. As regulars to CVO we never get tired of the place.
Also my Gary sometimes like to take a little time out (specialy when the football is on)and go for a wonder around the local bars whilst I'm pampering myself ready for early cocktails, gives us both a little breathing space, that's my advice for a good holiday.
BTW you didn't say where you were staying, maybe it's not that far away from the town. We are there from the 26th June to 6th July, also fellow poster Bruce is out around that time, can't wait.
Enjoy/

You'll love it regardless what the weather.
We will be there 26th - 10th July and will be our 4th Visit.
Even viewed a couple of places from the estate agents the last time so who knows what to expect this time round. (we can only hope)
Anyway, back to the weather..................
You can check out the 15 day forecast from http://www.accuweather.com/world-foreca ... O&metric=1 and I hope you enjoy your first of many visits i'm sure.

Jon,
Gary and I stayed in that hotel on our very first visit to CVO before we bought our apartment in CVO. It's a great hotel, friendly staff, great swimming pool. Breakfasts were fine, everything was fine about it really.
It's situated up the top of the town and is a few minutes to the beach and all the restaurants and bars, you couldn't be nearer.
We visited Seville on our last visit for two nights, great place. have a great time...

The Mirachoro is pretty basic, the rooms are ok but no tea or coffee making facilities & I think the reception area was decorated by someone who is colour blind, but on the plus side the pool area is very nice & it's right in town where you can get everything you need. Lots of bars & restaurants & you'll keep fit staggering up & down that hill.

We have just got back from Carvoeiro. Although we did enjoy it, there didnt seem to be alot happening. The only lively place we found was the 'RoundUp Saloon' Karoake bar. So glad we hired a car as 2 weeks in Carvoeiro would of seemed far too long. It's not a place I would go back too but I would definately go back to Portugal!! I'm sure you'll have a lovely time as it's what you make of it so make the most of it!!
