maybe a question for the airlines, but do airlines charges extra for golf bags?

Went to Makro for the first time just to get some bits & bobs for our villa, but at the checkout was told i cannot use my Visa(debit) card.
Had to pay cash instead. Anyone else had this?

finally managed to get some more info from them. Thought it was too good to be true. Flat rate man charge plus extra for maid, gardner pool etc. oh well!
Prob stick with these for now and maybe look around once we are up&running. Any recommendations for rental management?

All a learning process, since we are new the all of this, but I'm sure time will tell its on story.

We have been quoted 110 euro's +vat per month for our 3bed villa inc pool. Covers what I would expect, gardner, maid, pool man etc. Just wondering if this was about right. Also they take 12.5% for bookings, which maybe slightly high. 10% seems avg

already talking to biffa re accountancy, so i will ask about the insurance as well

Should I take out Public Liability insurance on my villa if I let ot out to clients, friends&family etc. I know they should have travel insurance to cover them, but should I take out cover as well?

I'm in the process of building a web site for our villa in Areias dos Moinhos and trying to give directions to the local golf courses. Vale de Milho is nearby, so I think I can work that one out, but which is the best route Pestana golf courses? I've seen the sign on the road from Lagoa to Carvoeiro...
